Pat Hayes, a researcher and plant breeder at OSU, specialized in barley and shares his research with the public during Cascade Barley Day in the spring. He invites farmers, brewers, chefs, breeders and anyone interested in barley to visit the fields and learn about new developments in barley growing.

Mecca Grade Estate Malt farm is a family farm in Madras, Oregon which grows one variety of barley and then malts the barley directly on the farm. They are the only know estate grown malt in the country. They are hoping to help brewers create unique beers with their malt.

Madison Farms in Eastern Oregon grows canola, wheat, and alfalfa.

Camas Country Mill is a stone milling facility located in the Willamette Valley. Owners Tom and Sue Hunton grow their own grains and also contract with other growers in the area to grow grain. The grow and mill many types of grains including a variety of wheat, teff, and rye.
